The Boyne City Police Department is committed to transparency, including sharing data that shows how our department resources are utilized. Please see the following graphs of recent BCPD activity.
In 2023 we logged 5,058 events covering a large variety of event types(nature codes). The nature codes listed are generated by our computer-aided dispatch system. Below is a graph showing the percentage of our total call volume for each nature code.
The below graph demonstrates the distribution of calls by hour of the day in 24-hour format. Next to each hour bar on the graph is a single digit noting the manpower typically available during that hour of the day.
